Five days, four groups
Practice schedule: Monday to Friday
The City of Atlanta Dolphins practice every weekday, with the youngest group in the first slot of the evening and the Senior group finishing last. Not sure which group fits your swimmer? The stroke evaluation decides it.

Inside the hour
What a Dolphins practice includes
The hours differ by group. The shape of the session does not, and the team writes its rules down so a first-week swimmer knows them. The full list lives on the procedures page.
Warm-up and cool down
Every practice opens with a warm-up and closes with a cool down. The team teaches why it matters the same way it does on meet day: the warm-up is physical preparation, mental preparation and a chance for the squad to swim as one team before anyone races.
Circle swimming, the rules of the road
Lanes are shared, so the Dolphins swim in circles. Swimmers keep to one side of the lane line, leave the wall at a safe gap and pass with care. The team publishes its traffic patterns so parents and new swimmers can learn them before the first practice.
Dry land, with standards
Land training has written standards and procedures. A swimmer who breaks them gets a verbal warning first, then a five minute time-out, then ten, and after that the coach calls a parent.

Start any month of the year
Book the 4:00 PM evaluation, then pick up the 5:00 PM practice
Membership is accepted throughout the year. The coaches watch your swimmer's strokes Monday through Thursday, place them in a group, and the schedule above becomes theirs. Registration fees and the USA Swimming steps are on the procedures page.
