Fees and procedures for Dolphins families
Swimming with the City of Atlanta Dolphins has two kinds of cost, both set out below: the program registration fee paid to the City, and the USA Swimming membership every competitive swimmer holds. After the numbers come the meet entry rules and the dry land standards. New swimmers are placed first by a stroke evaluation, and the meets they will race in are on the meets page.

Paying and registering
Pay the City, then register with USA Swimming
The program registration fee is paid by debit or credit card, payable to the City of Atlanta Dolphins Swim Team. The fee is $225.00 a year for each swimmer who lives in the City of Atlanta and $425.00 a year for each swimmer who does not. Every athlete also submits a City of Atlanta Dolphins Swim Team Personal Data Form.
The team states the consequence plainly: “Failure to pay the fee will result in non-participation in practice and swim meets.”
USA Swimming membership is separate. Parents register their swimmer directly with USA Swimming through a unique team link, and Georgia Swimming, the local swimming committee, invoices the club for its share. For the 2023 registration the team listed the premium athlete membership at $68 to USA Swimming and $18 to the Georgia local swimming committee. Ask at registration what the current season costs. Questions go to coachjackson@swimcad.com.
Standards and procedures
The rules that keep a busy deck moving
Meet entry fees
- Owed by the date on the event form
- Payable whether or not the swimmer swims, once entered
- Entries are not submitted without the fee
- Entries and meet forms are posted at Adamsville Natatorium
Which meets the team hosts and attends is on the meets page, along with a first-meet guide.
Dry land, when a rule is broken
Dry land training has its own written standards. When a swimmer breaks one, the coaches respond in this order:
- A verbal warning from the coach
- A 5 minute time-out
- A 10 minute time-out
- A call to the parent
The ladder starts with a word and ends with a conversation at home. More families' guides are under parent resources.
